10 years ago I answered a roommates ad on craigslist and the rest is history. Haley became my best friend and for many years we were inseparable, we have shared many milestones together, good and bad and even though our rooms aren’t beside each other anymore we have always stayed close.
She knew the holidays had been hard for Mark and I, the first since diagnosis, so she surprised me with a dinner. This dinner included busy moms and woman who live all over Ontario but made sure to come spend the night in Toronto and bring something incredibly special, Cranes for Claire.
Hundreds of folds and wishes for a cure for Batten disease. It was the pick me up I needed.
