We had such a great run, 7 weeks of Claire gaining strength, saying more words and being in a great mood. It took one virus and two days of fevers to completely change everything, she is struggling to walk more then a few steps, she gets tired very easily, and her words are few. Through it all she managed to go to school and does it with a smile and needs extra cuddles.
We hope this is just a dip in this awful roller coaster we never signed up to ride on. In the meantime, she has an ultrasound this morning to check her kidneys, and doctors’ appointments to go over medications. Another long unwanted day at the hospital. Her doctors do tell us that this is just a bump in the road, and she will bounce back. She has had a lot thrown at her in a short amount of time, and our little fighter will pull through.
