We just knew something wasn’t right, and for the first time in 9 months Claire had a focal seizure, it lasted five minutes and we unable to stop it with rescue meds until we doubled the dose.
We haven’t used rescue meds in over a year.
A focal seizure has her face stuck to one side and her eyes roll back, usually the legs and her arms on the same side of her body shakes. She isn’t aware of what’s going on and is totally unresponsive. It’s scary, no matter how many she has had.
Dad was quick and pulled off the road, and had her laying safely on her side in the back of the SUV until she came too.
We noticed a slight fever, but not sure what the trigger was yet.
She slept through the night and her appetite is back, I hope this means she is on the mend.
